Danish player Christian Eriksen is stable in the hospital after collapsing during the Euro 2020 game
UEFA has released a statement confirming that Christian Eriksen is in stable condition in the hospital.
The statement reads: “Following the medical emergency with Danish player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting took place with both teams and match officials and further information will be announced at 7.45pm CET.
“The player was transferred to the hospital and stabilized.”
The Danish Football Association also confirmed that Eriksen is awake.
A statement said: “Christian Eriksen is awake and will be examined further in the Rigshospitalet. The fight has been temporarily postponed.
England coach Gareth Southgate and captain Harry Kane were due to hold a press conference ahead of the Three Lions game against Croatia on Sunday, but it was canceled.
The FA said in a statement: “Our thoughts tonight are with Christian Eriksen and his family and all are linked to the Danish Football Association.”
