It has been suggested that more unicorn companies will soon emerge from Manchester’s rapidly growing technology ecosystem.

Software consultancy Codurance says the north city will soon add to the five unicorns already produced – Boohoo, AO, AutoTrader, The Hut Group, and On The Beach.

Ein Unicorn is a privately held technology start-up that has achieved a valuation of more than $ 1 billion.

The Manchester city center company said it continues to partner with the fastest UK company to ever achieve unicorn status, Cazoo, to support its ambitious expansion plans.

Cazoo plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange later this year through a $ 7 billion business combination with AJAX I, a publicly traded special purpose vehicle founded by US investor Dan Och.
