A MONMOUTH teacher lace up his boots on an exciting adventure in the world of football with Premier League champions Manchester City.
Lee Jones takes on the role of House Parent, who is responsible for the welfare and support of the City players.
Mr Jones was a geography teacher at Monmouth School for Girls and has coached girls’ football and even golf for the past 10 years.
While at Monmouth School for Girls, Mr. Jones, a great supporter of Leeds United, introduced golf as a sixth grade option to the girls’ sport.
Now Mr Jones, who lives in Monmouth, is looking forward to working with the Manchester City Football Club scholars from his education base at Etihad Stadium.
“I was sad to leave Haberdashers Monmouth Schools at halftime and I will miss the people, the Repartee, the students and the whole school community,” he said.
