Marcus Rashford will put his feet up when England’s Euro 2020 adventure comes to an end after admitting he’s been playing through the pain threshold for a while.
The Manchester United forward has played with shoulder and ankle problems this season but his resilience has still allowed him to improve on the games.
His appearance from the bank against Croatia at the European Championship opener on Sunday was the 74th game he has played in the last 12 months and that record could go up again on Friday against Scotland.
Rashford insists that he knows his body well and that he can keep playing the injuries he is facing and after a busy year he is ready for one final push with England this summer.
“I understand my body well and it’s been a while since I haven’t played with things that hold you back,” Rashford said during a press conference in England.

“It’s the last boost for this season and then we have time out so I focus on giving everything I can while I’m here on the team.”
Rashford came off the bench for England on Sunday and could be put in a similar role on Friday night when the Tartan Army visits Wembley.
While the Three Lions got off to a victorious start, Scotland was beaten by the Czech Republic at Hampden Park and traveled south knowing they needed a result.
Whatever role Rashford plays, he knows he still has to play a role if England is to be successful at Euro 2020.
“Every single player wants to play, but it’s clear from the tournaments I’ve attended in the past that everyone has to go a long way in a tournament,” he said.
“Whether you’re on the bench or starting out, you have to be ready to do your best, it’s important that we maintain that mentality.
“You want to play every game, it’s about your reaction to it, if you sulk or don’t train properly, it doesn’t have a good effect on the team. We all want to push each other, that’s the manager’s decision and you have to respect that. For me, I just keep working hard in training and games when I join or start. “
