Manchester City’s English players prepare for the Euro 2020 final against Italy.
Yesterday City trio Kyle Walker, John Stones and Raheem Sterling all trained in a recovery session in St. George’s Park, while Phil Foden was part of the group that really trained outside after his cameo in extra time.
Harry Kane, who scored the historic winner at Wembley, remains at the center of transfer speculation after saying he wants to leave Tottenham. MEN Sport reported yesterday that Spurs decided not to sell him this summer, potentially ending City’s hopes for a high profile striker before the new season.
On other transfer news, Sterling is the subject of additional reports linking him to Real Madrid. Some reports suggest that City would like to start contract talks after Euro 2020. However, the Athletic claim that Real Madrid were impressed with their performance for England and would be at the head of the line to sign Sterling should it become available.
