Police have sealed off a number of roads in Wigan following a crash in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on Manchester Road in Tyldesley at around 3.20am this morning (Saturday 4 June).
A number of road closures are in place in the area close to the junction with Unsworth Street. GMP are urging members of the public to avoid the area.
No further details about the nature of the crash or if anyone has been injured have not yet been released.
TGM are stating that this closure is likely to be in place for some time and may affect local bus routes. It posted the information on Twitter this (Saturday) morning at 3:58.
The Inrix live traffic and travel database issued similar information, stating: “A577 Manchester Road, Tyldesley, both directions, Greater Manchester – A577 Manchester Road in both directions closed due to accident from Upton Lane to Maesbrook Drive.”
