In Wales, airlines have reopened as Covid-19 lockdown restrictions continue to be relaxed in the four UK countries at various stages.

Recent easing measures have also seen elementary school students in Wales and Scotland returning to the classroom along with some secondary school students.

Children in elementary schools four through seven have returned to school to join their younger classmates who returned on February 22nd.

As of Monday, more secondary school students returned to the classroom on a part-time basis.

Up to four people from two households can meet outdoors in Scotland as measures for gatherings on March 12th have been relaxed.

For children between the ages of 12 and 17, outdoor meetings are also limited to four people, but can be from up to four households.

Community worship in Scotland will resume from March 26th, with the church service limit increasing from 20 to 50 people.

The stay at home order is expected to be canceled starting April 5 as part of the phased plan.

Barbers and hairdressers in Wales did not reopen for appointments until Monday.

Elementary school students also returned to classrooms on Monday, joining those in the founding years who returned in February. In years 11 and 13, personal lessons for learners will resume.

Secondary schools now have the ability to bring back 10th and 12th grade students while there is “flexibility” to allow all other students to “check in” with teachers for a limited number of days before a full return after the Easter break.

In the meantime, all students studying at universities in Wales will be able to return to campus starting April 12, said the country’s Minister of Education, Kirsty Williams.

Home-stay restrictions were lifted in Wales on Saturday as the country shifted into a time-to-stay period with travel restrictions expected to be further relaxed in time for Easter.

Four people from two households can now meet outdoors to socialize, even in gardens. Outdoor sports facilities, including basketball courts, tennis courts, and golf courses, may be reopened.

Visits to nursing homes are also permitted for individual visitors.

Non-essential retail stores will gradually reopen from March 22nd, while restrictions on sales in stores that are currently open will be lifted.

Lockdown restrictions were introduced in Northern Ireland on December 26th and the Stormont executive extended them to April 1st. The review is scheduled to take place on March 16.

Thousands from P1 to P3 returned to school on Monday, while kindergartens and preschools reopened for all children on Monday too.

The next children to come back are secondary school students in the most important exam years – grades 12-14 – on March 22nd.

The executive’s plan to gradually end the lockdown has no target dates. Ministers say that decisions about switching between phases will be based on scientific and medical evidence.

All students of all grade groups returned to classrooms on March 8th, and sports and outdoor activities were also allowed to resume after school.

People are now allowed to have socially distant one-on-one conversations with others outdoors in public spaces.

Nursing home residents are also permitted to appoint a single nominated visitor to take a Covid test, wear personal protective equipment, and keep physical contact to a minimum.

Larger groups are allowed to gather in parks and gardens from March 29th.

The “rule of six” will return, along with new measures that will allow two households of no more than six people to meet.

Organized outdoor sports will also return.

Shops, hairdressers, nail salons, libraries, outdoor attractions and outdoor restaurants such as beer gardens may reopen at the earliest from April 12th.

Two households or groups of up to six people are allowed to mingle indoors, and starting May 17, sports events will be restricted in crowds.

Any remaining restrictions on social contact could be lifted from June 21st, allowing larger events to take place and nightclubs to reopen.
